DUSHANBE, July 25, 2008, Asia-Plus -- A large amount of drugs has been confiscated from Afghan drug pusher in the Khatlon province.
According to the Ministry of Interior (MoI), Afghan national Habib Rahman valadi Umbegali was detained in Khatlon’s Vose district yesterday on suspicion of having been involved in drug trafficking.
More than 36 kilograms of narcotics were confiscated from him, the source said. The totaled included more than 30 kilograms of heroin and some six kilograms of cannabis.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the Afghan drug pusher and an investigation is under way.
