DUSHANBE, August 25, 2008, Asia-Plus -- Permanent representatives of the CIS states are meeting in Minsk, Belarus tomorrow to discuss agendas of the upcoming sessions of the CIS authorized bodies, Ms. Maria Gutsalo, a spokeswoman for the CIS Executive Committee, said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
According to her, the council of the CIS foreign ministers and the council of the CIS heads of state will meet in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan from October 9-10 and the council of the CIS heads of government is scheduled to hold a regular session in Chisinau, Moldova in November.
25 issues concerning cooperation in the fields of energy, security and humanitarian sphere have been tabled to the agenda of the CIS foreign ministers’ session and 18 issues are supposed to be tabled to the summit of the CIS heads of state. The council of the CIS heads of government is expected to consider 34 issues.
Tomorrow’s meeting of the CIS permanent representatives in Minsk will consider proposals on optimization of activities of CIS bodies for sectorial cooperation, the spokeswoman said.
