DUSHANBE, September 23, 2008, Asia-Plus  - A ceremony of installation of border markers along the Tajik-Chinese border was held on the Kulma Pass, GBAO''s Murgab district last Saturday, according to the main border directorate within the Stat Committee for National Security (GKNB).   

            The source at the main border directorate said that work on delineation of Tajikistan’s common border had been carried out over the past four years and Tajik border guards in cooperation with their Chinese counterparts had installed more than 100 border markers along the Tajik-Chinese border over the report period.   

According to him, the ceremony on the Kulma Pass was attended by Tajik first Deputy Foreign Minister and senior representatives of border services of the two countries.    

            Tajikistan’s common border with China is more than 500 kilometers in length.
