DUSHANBE, October 16, 2008, Asia-Plus -- The national TV news channel, Jahonnamo, is expected to go on air in early November, Asadullo Rahmonov, the head of the Committee for TV and radio-broadcasting, announced at a press conference in Dushanbe today.
According to him, the news channel will broadcast round-the-clock and it will cover some 60 percent of the country’s territory.
Asked about the Persian-language television channel, Rahmonov said that it will start broadcasting in 2009.
