DUSHANBE, November 10, 2008, Asia-Plus -- Two operations by officers from the counternarcotics agency have led to the arrest of three Afghan drug pushers in Dushanbe, according to press service the Drug Control Agency (DCA).
Two Afghan nationals – 45 year-old Nourullo valadi Abdullo and 21-year-old Muhammad valadi Ghulommuhammad – were detained on Saturday November 8 and 128 wraps of narcotic drugs that tested positive to heroin weighing 1.0455 kilograms were confiscated from them, press service said.
Another Afghan national, a 65-year-old Muhammad Yoqoub valadi Abdulaziz, was detained in Dushanbe on suspicion of having been involved in drug pushing on November 9. Package containing 992.8 grams of heroin was confiscated from him.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the Afghan drug pushers and an investigation is under way.
