DUSHANBE, November 15, 2008, Asia-Plus – Iran''s National Library and Archives is to enroll Tajik students for its e-courses on librarianship in the Masters degree level, Iranian presidential advisor Ali-Akbar Ashari remarked during his meeting with Tajik Deputy Prime Minister, Ms. Ruqiya Qurbonova, in Dushanbe on November 14, IRNA said.   

Ashari, who is also head of Iran''s National Library and Archives, proposed Tajikistan to dispatch a team to Iran to assess ways and means of sharing library expansion experience with the Iranian library.

He noted that the three Persian speaking countries of Iran, Tajikistan and Afghanistan could launch common projects and well on a wider scope that is within framework of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).

He added that Tehran Municipality has prepared a master plan for inauguration of a big book fair that will soon be implemented.

Ms. Qurbonova, for her, part, said that Tajikistan welcomed any sort of cultural cooperation, especially in the librarianship and library relevant fields, with Iran.

Ashari heading Iranian delegation had been in Dushanbe since November 12 for a three-day visit.
