DUSHANBE, December 24, 2008, Asia-Plus  -- Note delivered by the Russian Embassy today to the Tajik MFA over a number of articles published in Tajik newspapers, which expresses concern about “incorrect lunges launched by some Tajik media at the highest leadership of Russia and its policy,” is absolutely unfounded, the Farazh editor Khurshed Atovullo said in an interview with Asia-Plus.

This newspaper along with SSSR , Nigoh , and Millat was accused of publishing distorted information about the labor migrants’ problems.

Farazh has never published materials that might cause complaint of the Russian diplomatic mission,” said Atovullo, “I believe if we consider the move of the Russian Embassy to be correct, the Tajik MFA should send similar note to the Russian MFA because insulting materials about Tajiks are more than enough in the Russian newspapers.”

In the meantime, Tajik political scientists Abdullo Rahnamo noted, “We should not give political color to all problems that face our labor migrants in the Russian Federation.”  According to him, not all brutal killings of our follow-countrymen should be attributed to skinheads.

On the note delivered by the Russia Embassy, Rahnamo said, “This move does not meet principles and traditions of Russian diplomacy.”
