DUSHANBE, December 31, 2008, Asia-Plus -- Two new modern schools will be built in Dushanbe and Khatlon’s Vose district within the framework of the education modernization project in 2009.
According to the project implementation unit (PIU), construction of schools will start in spring and they will be finished by the new academic year. “The school to accommodate 330 pupils will be built in Dushanbe and the new school that will be built in Vose will have capacity of accommodating 175 pupils,” the PIU source said.
143 educational facilities have been constructed and renovated in the country under the education modernization project so far. The project aiming to promote development and modernization of the education system in the country is sponsored by the World Bank and the Government of Tajikistan.
