DUSHANBE, January 13, 2009, Asia-Plus -- As of December 31, 2008, a loan portfolio of open joint-stock company (OJSC) Orienbonk, which is one of Tajikistan’s largest financial institutions, has amounted to 753,823,621 somoni (equivalent to more US$217 million), according to Orienbonk’s press service.
In the distribution cross section the proportions of loan recipients in local currency were: private commercial enterprises – 77.52 percent; agricultural enterprises – 16.95 percent; state-owned enterprises – 1.8 percent; and physical entities – 3.73 percent.
In the distribution cross section the proportions of loan recipients in foreign currencies were: private commercial enterprises – 62.52 percent; agricultural enterprises – 13.66 percent; state-owned enterprises – 23.7 percent; and physical entities – 0.12 percent.
We will recall that as of December 1, 2008, Orienbonk’s loan portfolio amounted to more than 632 million somoni (equivalent to more US$185 million).
