DUSHANBE, January 15, 2009, Asia-Plus -- In a report released at après conference in Dushanbe, head of Amonatbonk (Tajikistan’s savings bank) Mahmadamin Mahmadaminov revealed that 367.2 million dollars were remitted to Amonatbonk last year, which was 89.3 percent more than in 2007.
According to him, the bank’s branches now have 154 outlets offering money transfer services. Amonatbonk currently cooperates with eleven money transfer systems.
“In 2008, out bank launched credit card services. Amonatbonk was admitted to the VISA Payment System as associate member,” Mahmadaminov said, noting that the bank intends to install 20 Pos-terminals and 10 ATMs this year.
He noted that Amonatbonk now had correspondent relations with 15 foreign banks.
