DUSHANBE, January 20, 2009, Asia-Plus  - Russia’s grain processor, Pava, last year shipped 10,000 tons of wheat four to Tajikistan under the UN program, according to Pava’s press service.

Pava has cooperated with the UN World Food Program (WFP) for several years and Russia’s largest supplier of grains and flour to developing countries, the press service said, noting that the company’s exports rose 77.5 percent in the year to December 31. 2008.

Pava has established business relations with wholesale dealers and producers from 13 countries across the world.  Among them are Mongolia, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Thailand, and others.

Open joint-stock company (OJSC) PAVA is known as one of the three leading operators on the Russian grain processing market.  Its principal activities are manufacturing and distribution of such products as flour of different grades, cereals, confectionery and animal feed. The brand names of the company’s products include PAVA, Altay-Batyushka and Zhitnitsa.  For more than 2 years PAVA has collaborated with the United Nations within the line of WFP, supplying vitamin-enriched flour to developing countries.
