KHUJAND, January 21, 2009, Asia-Plus -- On January 21, electricity supplies to the Sughd province were reduced even more, while some districts have not had electricity at all.
According to the branch of Barqi Tojik power holding in Sughd, the supply of daily electricity was reduced from 4.07 million kWh to 3.5 million kWh. “We take efforts to provide regular electricity supplies to the strategic sites in the province while electricity supplies to other enterprises and residential customers will be reduced,” the source said.
Meanwhile, the province’s daily requirements in electricity are 14-15 million kWh and 7-8 million kWh with taking into account electricity rationing.
