DUSHANBE, January 21, 2009, Asia-Plus - A ceremony of presentation of feasibility study fro construction of the hydroelectric power plant (HPP) Nourobod HPP-1 on the Khingob River in eastern Tajikistan was held at the Ministry of Energy and Industries (MoEI) in Dushanbe on January 20.
Ms. Tojinisso Azizova, a spokeswoman for a MoEI, said that the presentation ceremony had been attended by Deputy Prime Minister Asadullo Ghulomov, Deputy Energy and Industries Minister Poulod Muhiddinov, heads of Nourobod and Jirgatol districts as well as Viktor Kim, Executive Director of Kazakhstan’s company ASMPK-519, which would build the Nourobod HPP-1 station.
The Nourobod HPP-1 will have capacity of 300 megawatt and the estimated budget for construction of this station is some 414 million US dollars, the spokeswoman said.
