DUSHANBE, January 28, 2009, Asia-Plus -- On Tuesday January 27, Chairman of Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), Mr. Sharif Said, met with Latvian Ambassador to Tajikistan, Mr. Igors Apokins, here to discuss ways of expansion of economic cooperation between Tajikistan and Latvia, according to the CCI press service.
The two, in particular, considered priorities of economic cooperation and outlined Tajik economic branches requiring investments.
Latvian diplomat noted that his country was interested in expanding cooperation with Tajikistan in the banking sphere. For his part, the CCI head proposed to organize an exhibition of Latvian industrial goods and hold a Tajik-Latvian business forum in Dushanbe this year, the press service said.
