DUSHANBE, February 16, 2009, Asia-Plus -- On Friday February 13, certificates were handed over to participants of the Support for Efficient and Safe Labor Migration Project that successfully graduated from two-month training course of the Russian language at Tajik Pedagogical University in Dushanbe.
The project is implemented by local public association, Education Center Multikid, under financial support of the Tajik office of the Eurasia Foundation of Central Asia (EFCA) and the Western Union Fund.
According to the Education Center Multikid, 130 people from Dushanbe and districts subordinate to the center (RRPs) have taken training course on the Russian language under a special educational program developed in compliance with requirements of the certification commission at the Russian Ministry of Education and the latest normative documents on hiring foreign workers.
The project participants have also received consultations on the labor migration problems, the source said. More than 200 people will be able to take the Russian language course and obtain necessary information about legal labor migration during the project that will continue within the next four months during. The project is expected to end with holding of a roundtable meeting on issues related to efficient and safe labor migration.
