DUSHANBE, February 23, 2009, Asia-Plus -- 60 young officers of Tajikistan’s National Guard have taken the oath of loyalty to the Homeland.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, the deputy commander of the Tajik National Guard, Colonel Hotamsho Odinayev, said that the loyalty oath-taking ceremony was held at the Dousti Square in Dushanbe on February 22, on the eve of the 16th anniversary of formation of the Armed Forces of Tajikistan.
According to him, the National Guard officers that took the loyalty oath yesterday had graduated from local universities. “They took three-month-training courses at one of military-units of the National Guards in Dushanbe and were given officer titles of Junior Lieutenant and Lieutenant,” Odinayev said.
