DUSHANBE, March 25, 2009, Asia-Plus -- President Emomali Rahmon will pay an official visit to Mongolia.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, the head of the MFA information department Davlat Nazriyev said that President Rahmon heading a Tajik government delegation would begin his official visit to Mongolia Thursday evening.
On March 27, President Rahmon is scheduled to hold talks with his Mongolian counterpart, President Nambaryn Enkhbayar. Their talks will be followed by negotiations between the government delegations of the two countries. The negotiations are expected to result in signing of a number cooperation agreements.
During his stay in Ulan-Bator, Rahmon will also hold talks with deputy chairman of the State Great Khural (Parliament of Mongolia) and the first deputy prime minister of Mongolia on Friday, the MFA spokesman said.
The same day, Emomali Rahmon will return to Dushanbe.
