KHUJAND, April 9, 2009, Asia-Plus -- Specialists from the limited liability company, Tajik-Chinese Mining Company, have launched the last phase of construction of the concentrating mill in the Altyntapkan settlement, Sughd’s Asht district.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Rashid Rahmatov, an aide to the company director general, said that the construction work was carried out in accordance with schedule and the trail run of the mill was expected to be held in June this year.
The Altyntapkan mine operations were suspended last month; however, enough ore for production of the zinc-lead concentrate was stored at the enterprise. 600 people currently work with the company.
