DUSHANBE, June 10, 2009, Asia-Plus -- The CIS council on tourism is meeting in Minsk, Belarus today.
According to press release issued by the CIS executive committee, the session is considering issues related to development of tourism and relevant industries within the CIS area under conditions of the global financial crisis as well as training of personnel for tourism sphere.
The session will also elect new chairman of the CIS council on tourism and discuss implementation of the resolution of the CIS council of heads of government of May 22, 2009 on the plan of priorities of humanitarian cooperation between the CIS states in 2009-2010.
