DUSHANBE, July 14, 2009, Asia-Plus -- More than 50 new and renovated educational facilities will be introduced into operation by the new academic year, the Minister of Education Abdujabbor Rahmonov said.
According to him, part of these facilities has been constructed or renovated by the main construction directorate within the Ministry of Education (MoE) and another part of them has been constructed or renovated due to investment projects.
Since the beginning of the year, 21 new schools have been built in the country, said the minister, noting that more than 43 million somoni have been allocated from all sources of financing for implementation of those projects.
In the meantime, the national budget for this year has earmarked 26 million somoni for construction of 43 educational facilities; 20 of them are supposed to be finished by the end of this year.
