DUSHANBE, August 31, 2009, Asia-Plus -- A special issue of the Dushanbe independent Tajik-language weekly Farazh was published on Saturday August 29.
The Farazh editor Khurshed Niyozov said in an interview with Asia-Plus that they plan to publish the newspaper twice a week “in order to fill the information vacuum in the country.” Asked about publication of a daily newspaper, Niyozov said that they had enough personnel but they needed financial support for that.
The Dushanbe independent weekly Farazh has been published in Dushanbe since the early 1990s.
