DUSHANBE, September 23, 2009, Asia-Plus -- Issues related to legal support for media and journalists in Tajikistan will be discussed at Tajik Journalists’ Union in Dushanbe today.
Abdufattoh Vohidov, coordinator of the monitoring service within the National Association of Independent Media of Tajikistan (Nansmit), says the meeting is part of the project, Monitoring of Violation of Rights of Journalists and Media, which is implemented by Nansmit with support from the National Democratic Institute (NDI).
“The head of the Republican Barristers’ Association Naim Amirbekov will answer to legal questions and other questions regarding rights of journalists and advocatory support for journalists in legal issues.” Vohidov said.
