DUSHANBE, September 29, 2009, Asia-Plus -- A delegation of the Tajik Ministry of Interior (MoI), led by the First Deputy Interior Minister, Ramazon Rahimov, is currently in Belarus on a working visit, the Belarus MoI reported.
The purpose of the visit is for Tajik law enforcement authorities to get acquainted with experience of Belarus colleagues in controlling migration processes, protecting rights and interests of refugees, and setting up temporary centers for asylum-seeking persons.
The event was organized by the UNHCR at request of the Tajik MoI, the source said.
During their stay n Belarus, Tajik law enforcement authorities are scheduled to hold talks with Belarus Deputy Interior Minister, Yevgeny Poluden and chief of the citizenship and migration department with the Belarus MoI, Aleksey Begun.
They will also visit the Belarus MoI Academy where they will familiarize themselves with its educational program and conditions of holding of international competition on refugees’ rights, Novy Gorizont (New Horizon). A special attention will be given to studying specifics of activities of the International Training for Training of Specialists in Migration and Countering Human Trafficking.
