QURGHON TEPPA, October 2, 2009, Asia-Plus -- On Friday October 2, the first 400 conscripts from the southern Khatlon province were sent to serve in the country’s armed forces.
The ceremony was attended by Khatlon governor and a number of senior representatives form the Ministry of Defense (MoD).
The MoD conscription directorate chief Khoushvakht Mirovarov noted that henceforth, following defense minister’s order conscripts from the Khatlon provinces will serve in other regions of the country.
