DUSHANBE, May 18, 2010, Asia-Plus -- President Emomali Rahmon yesterday received Dr. Osman Mohamed Osman, Minister of Economic Development of Egypt, who arrived in Dushanbe to attend the 37th Council of Foreign Ministers of the OIC Member States, according to presidential press service.
In the course of the talks, President Rahmon noted that both countries had laid good legal foundation for bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation and time has come to develop mechanisms to implement the signed agreements.
He outlined sectors like energy, industry, agriculture, pharmaceutics and tourism as areas of which could drive the bilateral trade between the two countries.
The sides also underlined the importance of opening of Egyptian embassy in Dushanbe and establishment of direct aerial communication between Dushanbe and Cairo for further expansion of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
