DUSHANBE. June 8. “Asia-Plus” -- Tajikistan is able to provide clear drinking water not only to Central Asian countries, but also to wider regions of our planet, press service of the President has quoted Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon as saying today at the photo exhibition dedicated to the opening of the high-level international conference on medium-term overview of implementation of the International Decade for Action “Water for Life” 2005-2015.
According to the source, Tajik President has also said that nations which inhabit Central Asia can be sure that Tajikistan will never deprive Central Asia of water.
He also said that more than 15.000 young trees are being annually planted in the country to protect the environment and Tajikistan is planning to create new gardens at an area of 50 ha within the next 15 years.
According to the source, Tajik President asked corresponding ministries and departments to prepare winners of the exhibition, during which children have presented their drawings to the theme of rational and ecologically clean use of water resources, for study at best colleges of art.
