DUSHANBE, July 8, 2010, Asia-Plus -- The European Union’s Central Asia Drug Action Programme (CADAP) donated lap top computers, printer/copier/scanner and telephone station to the main program beneficiary agencies such as Drug Control Agency under the President of Tajikistan and Republican Centre on Drug Monitoring and Prevention under the Ministry of Health, press release issued by the Delegation of the European Union to Tajikistan said.
Total cost of the equipment is about € 3,800.
Previously CADAP implemented two projects on drug prevention and data exchange, Drug Abuse Monitoring and Mass Media Campaign on Drug Awareness, implemented by Drug Control Agency and Ministry of Health. Donated equipment is in good operational condition and will be used for continuation of the same projects within CADAP 5 phase.
The overall objective of CADAP is the gradual adoption of the EU and international good practices on drug policy covering both supply and demand reduction aspects by beneficiary authorities.
CADAP is funded by the European Union.
