DUSHANBE, July 29, 2010, Asia-Plus -- The Drug Control Agency (DCA) has burned more than 180 kilograms of narcotics today.
According to the DCA, a totaled included 42 kilograms of heroin, 59 kilograms of raw opium, 37 kilograms of hashish and 2 kilograms of cannabis.
The drugs were seized by the drug control officers in the course of 2009-2010, the source said.
The drugs were destroyed in the presence of members of the working group of the council of heads of competent bodies of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member nations authorized to deal with illicit drug trafficking, local law enforcement authorities and media.
