KULOB, August 24, 2012, Asia-Plus -- Kulob grain growers have reportedly yielded more than 210,000 tons of wheat by August 24.
Rajabali Kulabekov, a chef agronomist with the Kulob agriculture directorate, says local farmers are expected to yield 250,000 tons of wheat this year.
“To-date, farmers have reported average wheat yields of 2.7 tons per hectare,” the chief agronomist said.
