DUSHANBE, January 29, 2011, Asia-Plus -- Chambers of Commerce and Trade (CCI) of Tajikistan and Georgia are expected to sign a cooperation agreement within the next few days.
Chairman of Tajikistan’s CCI Said Sharif on January 27 met here with his Georgian counterpart Jemal Inaishvili.
According to the Tajik CCI press service, the Georgian CCI head Jemal Inaishvili heading a Georgian delegation arrived in Tajikistan to discuss cooperation issues.
The delegation members include Georgian MP Koba Kurdgelashvili, representative of the Georgian CCI in Tajikistan Oleg Makharashvili and Georgina businessman working in Kazakhstan Amur Kisishvili.
Expansion of trade and economic cooperation between Tajikistan and Georgia as well as between their CCIs was a major topic of the meeting.
The Georgina delegation was interested in discussing the possibility of supplying tea, sugar and metalwork to Tajikistan as well as participation of Georgian companies in investment projects in Tajikistan, the source said.
