DUSHANBE, February 3, 2011, Asia-Plus -- The dollar exchange rate has fallen slightly in Tajikistan.
In the currency exchange offices in Dushanbe, the dollar has fallen against the Tajik national currency, the somoni, from 1:4.49 on January 18 to 1:4.47, according to the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT).
The Euro exchange rate has increased over the report period from 1:5.89 to 1:6.05.
In the meantime, the exchange rates of foreign currencies against the somoni set by Tajik central bank are 1:4.40 for USD, 1:6.05 for Euro, and 10:1.50 for Russian ruble (RR).
Tajikistan’s currency market now consists of three segments: inter-bank currency market; intra-bank market; and market of purchase/sale of foreign currencies through the currency exchange offices.
