DUSHANBE, March 5, 2011, Asia-Plus - One more Russian air carrier will operate flights to Tajikistan.
Joint-stock company (JSC) Donavia will operate flights on the air route from the Russian city of Sochi to Dushanbe. According to information posted on the Donavia’s website, the company will use Boeing 737-500 to operate this flight.
It will be a once-weekly service. Donavia is scheduled to operate its first flight on this air route on March 8. Economy class ticket costs 178 euros and the price of economy class return ticket is 356 euros. Business class ticket costs 298 euros and business class return ticket costs 576 euros.
Join-stock company (JSC) Donavia, formerly Aeroflot-Don, is an airline based in Rostov-on-Don, Russia. It operates scheduled domestic and international passenger flights network as well as passenger and cargo charters, most of which to the Middle East. Its main bases are Rostov-on-Don Airport and Moscow-Vnukovo Airport.
According to the civil aviation department at the Ministry of Transport (MoT), nine Russian air companies now operate flights to Tajikistan: Rossiya, Tatarstan; Yakutiya; Ural Airlines, Sibir; Orienburg Airlines, UTair; NordStar; and Donavia.
Besides, the following foreign air carriers operate flights to Tajikistan: Turkish Airlines; China Southern Airlines; Skat (Kazakhstan; Ariana Afghan Airline (Afghan national airline); Kam Air (privately owned passenger airline in Afghanistan); Iran Aseman Airlines (Iran), etc.
