DUSHANBE, March 14, 2013, Asia-Plus -- The National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) reports that inflation for February this year stood at 0.6 percent.
The 2012 year-end inflation reportedly stood at 6.4 percent, which was 2.4 percent fewer than in 2011, according to Tajik central bank.
The Tajik authorities expect year-end inflation to stand at 9.0 percent in 2013.
Meanwhile, according to data of the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan, prices of foodstuffs increased by 0.3 percent in February and non-foodstuffs rose in cost by 0.1 percent during last month. Prices and rates for services rendered to the population increased by 3.2 percent in February.
Since the beginning of the year, foodstuffs have risen 0.7 percent, non-foodstuffs have risen 0.3 percent, and prices and rates for services rendered to the population have increased by 5.0 percent.
