DUSHANBE, June 4, 2013, Asia-Plus – A number of enterprises for production of building materials have been introduced into operation at Vahdat Township, some 20 kilometers east of Dushanbe.
According to the Ministry of energy ad Industry (MoEI), a plant with a cement production capacity of 50,000t/yr, built at Vahdat Township by Tajik-Chinese joint-venture, Vahdat Hualun, was introduced into operation in late May. 30 Tajik and 15 Chinese specialists now work with the plant. Currently, the plant produces on average 100-120 tons of cement per day.
Besides, Open Joint-Stock Company (OJSC) Keramzit introduced a brick-producing plant into operation in late May. The plant has the production capacity of more than 100,000 bricks per year. The enterprise has reportedly created 18 new jobs.
Three other enterprises engaged in production of various building materials were introduced into operation in Vahdat recently, an official source at a MoEI said.
