Dushanbe, June 18, 2013, Asia-Plus -- The senior management of INTRASOFT International S.A. delivered a presentation to major Government stakeholders at the European Union (EU) Delegation to Tajikistan office in Dushanbe to mark the completion of the project’s Elaboration (Analysis/Design) Phase and commencement of the Construction Phase, press release issued by the EU Delegation to Tajikistan said.

The achievements of the project since its commencement in June 2012 were highlighted during the presentation and the objectives of the current Construction Phase of the project were laid out to those in attendance.  This important trade facilitation project involves inter-organizational coordination and the utilization of advanced web technologies which will bring significant benefits to foreign trade operators, Government efficiency and transparency as well as marked improvements in national wealth as international trade is simplified.  The presentation was followed by very active discussion by the key stakeholders in attendance.

In June 2012, the European Union and INTRASOFT International S.A. signed a contract for the implementation of the project, “Support to the Establishment of One-Stop-Shop (OSS) for Export, Import and Transit Procedures in Tajikistan”.

INTRASOFT International S.A. will implement the Single Window system and put it into operation in the State Unitary Enterprise “Single Window Centre,” established under the Customs Service of the Government of Tajikistan and across five regional centers of eleven (11) state bodies and other organizations involved.

INTRASOFT International S.A. have already completed the Elaboration (Analysis/Design) Phase of the project which included detailed data analysis and harmonization at all involved state bodies, production of the detailed equipment specifications and the completion of the software design required for the system software development – the latter two having been approved by Government in December 2012. Over the last few months the Project carried out in-depth business process analysis at three Government agencies (Service of the State Supervision of Pharmaceutical Activities of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tajikistan, Service of the State Inspection for Phytosanitary and Plant Quarantine under the Ministry of Agriculture of Tajikistan and State Assay Supervision under the Ministry of Finance of Tajikistan).

In addition, working systems with limited functionality but almost complete user interfaces were created and presented to stakeholders in Dushanbe at the start of March 2013 and at the start of June selected users were given access to a trial version of the system software for review and feedback. The Construction Phase commenced in earnest at the start of January 2013 with software development and the system Pilot Implementation across three (3) regional centers (Dushanbe, Khujand and Qurghon Teppa) and two Pilot organizations – Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Service of the State Supervision of Pharmaceutical Activities of the Ministry of Health of Tajikistan – is scheduled to commence in mid August 2013 and run for at least two (2) months.

INTRASOFT International S.A. have commenced training needs assessment and will be responsible for the training of Government officials at all the involved state bodies and other organizations (some forty eight (48) offices), Customs brokers, Customs Service officials and private businesses engaged in foreign trade at five (5) locations in Tajikistan.
