DUSHANBE, July 19, 2013, Asia-Plus -- On Wednesday July 17, Chairman of Tajikistan’s State Committee on Investments and State-owned Property (GosKomInvest), Davlatali Saidov, met here with a delegation of VINCI Construction Grands Projets (VINCI), led by Igor Gorvits, VINCI director for Central Asia, according to the GosKomInvest press center.
Representatives of the French company were reportedly interested in Tajikistan’s legal foundation for investment activities, investment climate in Tajikistan, benefits and guarantees stipulated by the Tajik legislation for foreign investors as well as projects in implementation of which VINCI could participate.
GosKomInvest head informed them of Tajik government’s efforts to improve investment climate in the country, foreign direct investments, activities of other French companies here and possible areas of activities and projects in which VINCI could participate, the press center said.
We will recall that VINCI Construction Grands Projets is participating in the construction of a new international terminal at the Dushanbe airport, which is expected to be finished in late 2014.
The overall space of the international terminal at the Dushanbe airport is expected to be 11,000 square meters and it will able to receive more than 5,000 passengers per hour. Specialists say the project will bring the Dushanbe airport up to international air traffic standards.
