Tajik Finance Minister, Abdussalam Qurbanov, met with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission under the leadership of Dmitriy Radev.
According to the Finance Ministry secretariat, the sides reviewed issues of assessing ongoing reforms and progress in public financial management, as well issues for further implementation of planned projects and programs.
The Head of IMF Mission shared his thoughts on planned mission goals and objectives, presenting his recommendations and suggestions.
The statement notes: “The Mission is planning to hold necessary discussions on key areas of economic policy with the relevant departments of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan.”
The Tajik Finance Minister noted that during the period of cooperation with the IMF, especially on financial reform sector, significant progress was reached.
He expressed confidence that cooperation with IMF will continue and develop in the future.
