DUSHANBE, July 15, 2015, Asia-Plus -- Tajik President Emomali Rahmon today inaugurated the technical quality control lab in the city of Roghun.
According to the Tajik president’s official website, the lab, which is provided with the state-of-the-art equipment meeting international standards, will control quality of building materials and all construction works being carried out at the site for construction of the Roghun hydroelectric power plant (HPP).
The lab reportedly consists of several departments and sections: the metal test department; the department for geotechnical supervision; the chemical department; the spectral test section; the concrete test department; and the department for testing physical-mechanical properties of cement.
More than 140 specialists now work with the lab and the majority of them have higher education, the president’s website said.
