DUSHANBE, November 17, 2015, Asia-Plus -- The National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) has stopped operations of seven microlending organizations.
Tajik central bank on November 13 stopped operations of Limited Liability Company Kayoniyon, Limited Liability Company Doustkom, Closed Joint-Stock Company (CJSC) Daftari Moliyavi, and CJSC Barhaq in connection with voluntary liquidation at their request.
These microlending organizations reportedly failed to comply with the NBT’s minimum capital requirements for the microlending organizations.
Tajik central bank notes that the level of agency of those microlending organizations in the country’s financial market has declined over the past several years.
We will recall that the NBT on October 29 suspended operations of five microlending organizations, including Limited Liability Company Avlodon, Limited Liability Company Behnamo, Limited Liability Company Imkon 2010, Closed Joint-Stock Company (CJSC) Omad and CJSC Umedi Yovon, for the same reason. They also failed to comply with the NBT’s minimum capital requirements for the microlending organizations.
The National Bank of Tajikistan reportedly recalled licenses of these microlending organizations and they were removed from the register of microlending organizations.
According to Tajik central bank, 129 lending organizations, including 17 banks, one non-bank credit institution, 41 microloan deposit organizations, 31 microlending organizations and 39 microloan funds now operate in Tajikistan.
