DUSHANBE, April 22, 2016, Asia-Plus – Over the first three month of this year, the external trade turnover of Tajikistan, including electrical power and natural gas, has amounted to 874.2 million U.S. dollars, which was 90.5 percent of the January-March 2015 level or 92 million U.S. dollars fewer, according the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.

The trade balance in January-March this year has been negative and amounted to 480.4 million U.S. dollars.

Exports of goods over the report period have amounted to 196.9 million U.S. dollars, which was 8.2 percent or 17.6 million USD fewer than in the same period last year.

Over the same three-month period, imports of goods into the country have amounted to more than 677.3 million U.S. dollars, which was 9.9 percent or 74.4 million USD fewer than in January-March, 2015.   

Over the first three months of this year, Tajikistan has had trade relations with 91 countries of the world, including ten CIS nations.

Over the report period, major trading partners of Tajikistan were: China – more than 215 million USD; Russia – nearly 214,000 million USD; Kazakhstan – 140 million USD; Turkey – more than 85 million USD; Iran – more than 26 million USD; etc.
