Fifty-one countries of the world have provided nearly 30 million U.S. dollars’ worth of more than 13,600 tons of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan over the first eight months of this year, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.

Over the same eight-month period, among the donor countries the greatest share in value reportedly came from China – 26 percent; Russia – 18.7 percent; India – 8.5 percent; Serbia – 5.5 percent; Switzerland – 5.2 percent; Belgium – 4.9 percent; Pakistan – 4.6 percent; Turkey – 3.5 percent; Kazakhstan – 3.2 percent; Germany – 3.1 percent; Denmark – 3.0 percent; South Korea – 2.3 percent; the United States – 1.5 percent; the Netherlands – 1.4 percent each; Azerbaijan – 1.3 percent; France – 1.2 percent; Thailand – 1.1 percent; Iran – 0.9 percent; and others.

In January-August last year, thirty-four countries of the world provided 22.7 million U.S. dollars’ worth of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan.

Recall that forty-two countries of the world reportedly provided 45 million U.S. dollars’ worth of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan in 2015.
