A draft budget of Tajikistan for 2017 has been submitted for consideration to the government, according to the Ministry of Finance (MoF) Secretariat.
The draft budget for 2017 is expected to stand at more than 19.86 billion somoni, which is 8.5 percent more than the country’s budget for this year. The national budget for this year amounts to more than 18.306 billion somoni.
The revenue part of the national budget for 2017 will stand at 19.4 billion somoni, which is 6.5 percent more than the revenue part of the budget for this year.
The budget deficit is expected to be equal to 0.5 percent of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP).
Indicators of the national budget for 2017 will reflect the economic and social development of the country. Social spending will account for more than 40 percent budget allocations.
According to the data from a MoF, a total volume of the country’s budget over the first eight months of this year has stood at more than 11.021 billion somoni, which is 97.2 percent of the revised target. Over the report period, the budget has received 317 million somoni less than it was originally planned, the source said.
