President Emomali Rahmon yesterday participated in a ceremony of an official opening of the first section of the road connecting Vose and Khovaling districts in Khatlon province.
A total length of this road is 88 kilometers and 600 million somoni has been spent for construction of it, according to the Tajik president’s official website.
Construction of the second section of this road is expected to start within the next few months.
Yesterday afternoon, Rahmon also inaugurated a new stadium and a tennis court, as well as new hospital, aid station and a new school in the Vose district.
During an address to a meeting of district administrators in the administrative center of the district, Rahmon noted that nearly 700 million somoni has been spent for socioeconomic development of the Vose district over the past twenty-five years.
“The national development program designed for the period until 2020 provides for implementation of 370 projects in a total amount of 520 million somoni in the Vose district,” said the president.
