The first nine-story apartment building has been put in commission in Khorog, the capital of the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO).
63 families whose houses have been demolished as part of the municipal redevelopment plan that includes the construction of one 16-story apartment building, two 12-story apartment building and new buildings of the regional drama theater and Amonatbonk (Tajikistan’s savings bank) have got keys to new apartments in this nine-story residential building.
The construction of this apartment that began in summer 2015 was financed by the national budget.
“In all, 160 social and economic facilities are expected to be built in the region this year,” GBAO governor Shodikhon Jamshed noted at the ceremony of opening of the nine-story apartment building.
