Construction of a cattle-breeding farm for 3,000 head of cattle has begun in Yovon district, Khatlon province.
The farm is being constructed on an area of sixteen hectares in the Obshron jamoat under financial support of Closed Joint-Stock Company (CJS) Marmari, according to the Khatlon government press service.
A total cost of the project is reportedly 8.5 million U.S. dollars.
The first part of the farm for 1,000 head of cattle is expected to be commissioned in 2020.
When completed, this cattle-breeding farm will create 600-700 new jobs for local residents, the Khatlon government press service said.
