Donor countries have reduced humanitarian aid to Tajikistan nearly five times.  Meanwhile, the number of countries providing humanitarian to Tajikistan has increased from 37 in the first quart of last year to 42 in the first three months of this year.

Forty-two countries of the world have provided 4.085.6 million U.S. dollars’ worth of 2.915.1 tons of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan over the first three months of this year, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.

It is 4.5 times fewer than in the same period last year

In January-March this year, among donor countries the greatest share reportedly came from China – 34.3 percent; Russia – 21.1 percent; India – 8.7 percent; Kazakhstan – 5.7 percent; the United States – 5.0 percent; Germany – 4.5 percent; the Netherlands – 3.1 percent; Switzerland – 2.8 percent; Indonesia and Japan – 2.7 percent each; Denmark – 2.1 percent; Turkey – 2.0 percent; and others. 

Over the first quarter of last year, the main donors of Tajikistan were Russia – 15.6 percent; Switzerland – 14.5 percent, Japan – 4.0 percent, China – 3.7 percent, and others.
