Tajikistan’s privately owned air carrier Somon Air is expected to increase the frequency of service between Dushanbe and the Turkey’s city of Istanbul from two-times weekly to three-times weekly starting from June 5, 2022.
Somon Air will operate this flight on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays Mondays and Wednesdays.
The company will use Being 737-800 and Being 737-900 to operate flights on this air route.
According to information posted on Somon Air’s official website, the price for economy class ticket on the flights from Dushanbe to Istanbul will be 337.00 euros and the price for business class ticket on the flights from Dushanbe to Istanbul will 507.00 euros.
While the economy class and business class tickets on the return flights (from Istanbul to Dushanbe) will cost 280.00 euros and 530 euros.00, respectively.
It is to be noted that Turkish Airlines, which also operates flights on the Dushanbe-Istanbul air route, increased the frequency of service between Dushanbe and Istanbul from two-times weekly to three-times weekly on May 21 as well. It now operates flights from Dushanbe to Istanbul on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and from Istanbul to Dushanbe on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Somon Air is the first private airline in Tajikistan with an office headquartered in Dushanbe. The airline operations are based at Dushanbe International Airport. The airline started operating on February 5, 2008 with regular flights to Moscow and Dubai. Somon Air also serves as the official carrier of President of the Republic of Tajikistan and other Tajikistan high-ranking officials.
