Prices for a number of products have significantly decreased in Tajikistan, including flour, oil and sugar. Compared to the beginning of August, the price for a 50-kilogram bag of 1st grade flour in Dushanbe has decreased from 360 to 290 somoni at fairs, and up to 340 at markets.

A bag of second-grade flour Tajikmatlubot sells for 230-260 somoni, depending on the manufacturer, and in the markets - up to 310 somoni.

Coarse flour of local production costs 210 somoni per bag, and in the markets its price does not exceed 240 somoni.

The cost of 5 liters of oil has decreased to 125 somoni, compared to 140, and at fairs oil is sold at 110 somoni for a 5-liter container.

At fairs, pasta is sold at 7 somoni per 1 kg (in the store - 10-12 s), sugar at 9.5 somoni (in stores 10-11 somoni).

Beef at the fair costs 55 somoni per 1 kg, and at the market 63 somoni. However, there is no quality meat at the fairs, and on the market it can be purchased for 67-70 somoni per 1 kg.

The reasons for the decrease in prices for basic foodstuffs are attributed by the authorities to an increase in their stocks and imports, for agricultural products - the harvest season.
