This material provides a detailed and clear explanation of the nature of the name change to the clients and users of CJSC “Investment and Credit Bank, Tajikistan” and its new brand “ICB” in an accessible manner.

First and foremost, it is essential to note that the name change is not related to any acquisition, merger, or amalgamation of the Bank. The structure of the Bank’s ownership (shareholders), Board of Directors, management, and staff will remain unchanged.

Meaning and philosophy of the new Bank logo

The Bank’s new identity is rooted in the ancient traditions, philosophy, and values of the Great Silk Road. Silk was transported by caravans along various routes, giving it its collective name with countless paths and roads that connected the civilizations of the West and East. The Silk Road was the largest trade network linking China, Asia, and Europe, and it played a significant role in the development of economic and cultural ties between different countries. This route contributed greatly to trade growth and prosperity. By fostering the fusion of cultures, trade, and creativity, the legendary Silk Road laid the foundation for the exchange of knowledge, philosophy, and scientific discoveries, benefiting the entire world. Some of the most important hubs of the Silk Road were located in Central Asia, including the territories of present-day Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan.

Mulberry leaves, which are vital to the production of silk, are part of the logo’s design. These leaves, the habitat of silkworm larvae, remain valuable and significant to this day. The leaves are arranged to depict a star and compass, indicating key and intermediate directions (north, northeast, east, etc.). Stars and compasses help people find paths, explore new directions, and guide them toward achieving goals.

The logo, embodying the principles of reliability, comprehensiveness, and value creation, plays a key role in shaping the external image of the “ICB” brand. The outward-facing leaves reflect the Bank’s active commitment to collaboration with clients, local and international partners, and the development of mutually beneficial relationships. Additionally, the leaves symbolize the Bank’s intentions to engage with the world, adhere to the latest advancements in the banking sector and economy, and apply these innovations in combination with the best business practices.
