11 dried fruits processors from Tajikistan, leading players in the Central Asian dried fruits industry, are participating in the prestigious Gulfood exhibition, which is being held in Dubai from February 17 to February 21.

Press release issued by ITC Tajikistan says seven of them companies - Fruits Valley, Isfarafood, Mevai Tilloi, Mevai Zarrin, Oro Isfara, Tuti Pomir, and Visol Isfara – have join over 5,500 exhibitors from more than 130 countries at this leading food and beverage trade fair to present their latest products to thousands of visitors, while other companies alongside relevant sectoral associations joined the delegation to attend the event.

Participation at this fair is made possible thanks to the Government of Switzerland through the International Trade Centre (ITC)’s Trade Promotion East: Balkan States and Central Asia Program in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan.

The event provides an excellent platform for the Tajik dried fruits processors to promote their products and capacity, discuss potential business collaborations, and explore emerging market trends on a regional scale.

Haidar Salimov, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan, says: “By showcasing the diverse range of high-quality products at this platform, our companies aim to attract potential international partners, distributors, and buyers, while fostering trade collaborations that will benefit Tajikistan”.

Keen on promoting Tajikistan’s tasty dried fruits, the Tajik stand is offering authentic flavors to visitors, thus unveiling new business opportunities.

Muminjon Mamadjonov, Export Manager at Isfarafood: “The fair is an ideal event for companies from Tajikistan to meet leading food producers from the region, empower our brands in the regional market, establish new contacts, get acquainted with trends, demands and expectations of the market, as well as to explore new products and innovations”.

At the fair, Tajik companies will also participate in insightful panel discussions, seminars, and business forums, engaging in fruitful conversations around the latest trends and developments in the industry.  Through these interactions, they will gain valuable insights into market demands and emerging consumer preferences, enabling them to remain competitive and explore new avenues for growth.

With their participation at this fair, Tajik companies will not only capitalize on the opportunity to expand their export opportunities but also welcome visitors to explore Tajikistan’s unique dried fruits flavors and extensive range of dried fruits products.  The event serves as a stepping stone for these companies to strengthen their bond with the global food industry and establish themselves as significant players in the international market.

Organized annually, the Gulfood is renowned as one of the largest trade shows in the food and beverages industry.  Celebrating its anniversary 30th edition, the fair brings together exhibitors, leading industry experts, and buyers to exchange ideas, foster connections, and forge strategic partnerships shaping the future of the industry.

TC’s Trade Promotion East (TPE) is funded by the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) of the Swiss Confederation.  Tajikistan is one of four countries, together with Uzbekistan, Albania, and Serbia, selected to be part of the TPE program.  The project will focus on the competitiveness and sustainable export growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from the dried fruits sector, as well as improving the capacities of business support organizations (BSOs) to provide quality services to SMEs.

Over the last 30 years, around 500 million USD have been allocated in the form of grants to the Government of Tajikistan and the Tajik population.  Within its Cooperation program for Central Asia (2022-2025), Switzerland will focus on supporting economic, social, and democratic development, promoting an integrated and regional approach in the complex field of transboundary water management, strengthening economic ties, and promoting good governance.
